The SHARE Necklace is inspired by Anuar Maauad’s series of 100 small-scale bronze text installations throughout Denver, which echo the geometric, slab serif font and gold coloring of the grandiose NYC Trump Tower sign. Unlike the original, Maauad’s counter-monumental work delivers an uplifting message: “To share is precious, pure, and fair.” This lyric from Marvin Gaye’s song “I Want You” symbolizes kindness, transforming a symbol of power into one of compassion and a sign of our inexorable connection with each other.
